The legal profession, Rose Inglis believes, is
becoming more open-minded to the possibilities and opportunities
that arise from thinking beyond blackletter skills. Developing more
holistic skills will help lawyers better unlock their career
potential, she says — thereby allowing them to live their best
professional lives.
On this episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show, host Jerome Doraisamy
speaks with Rose Tinted Law principal Rose Inglis about her journey
as a now-former solicitor and the vocational epiphanies that
occurred along the way, the impact of certain professional
realisations upon her, why it is so important for lawyers to
occasionally learn hard lessons about themselves and their careers,
and the need to ask certain questions of yourself.
Ms Inglis also reflects on the proliferation of legal professionals
straying from the supposed traditional path, whether those who do
not take the time to be introspective could be falling behind their
peers, finding new and more creative ways to gain insight into who
you are as a lawyer, and what excites her about more and more
lawyers unlocking their career potential moving forward.
